Listings

A site’s Listings are the heart of its Directory.  Listings contain contact information that allow community members to stay connected to each other.  Create and maintain Listings and bring your community together by using the tools in the Listings Module.

How It Works

There are 2 types of Listings:

  • Basic Listings consist of a name, street address, phone and logo.
  • Highlighted or Expanded Listings are Basic Listings plus a link to a Listing Profile Page with additional functionality such as Ad Management and Specials.

Use Categories to organize Listings within your Directory.

Toggle between the two types of Listings by using the Listings-Bulk Submodule. See here

A Highlighted or Expanded Listing contains a link to a custom Listing Profile Page that is a hub of content relevant to the Listing.  The Listing Profile Page holds Listing information such as address, contact information, announcements, hours of operation, social networking details, and links.

The Listing Profile Page also contains a link to a map indicating listing location, and optional content to enhance the Listing. Available tools content containers include such a Specials page to highlight Listing promotions, a Listing Image Gallery, Time-Sensitive Content (Articles, Galleries, and Events) from an associated site, and customizable Extra Pages

Create a Listing and its Listing Profile Page and control content using the Listings Module and its Submodules Enable all of the Listings Submodules by doing the following:

  1. Select the Listings Module. 'Your Listing' appears below 'Your Domain'.
  2. Click on the + button next to 'Your Listing'. A drop-down list of Listings on the domain appears.
  3. Scroll to the appropriate Listing and select it. If the list of Listings is long, type any portion of the desired Listing name in the blank at the top of the list to narrow the selections. The selected Listing appears next to 'Your Listing'.

Repeat to switch between listings at any time.
